Minnesota's Pigeon Haven is a small pigeon rescue with a focus on saving the lives of pigeons in the southwest counties of Minnesota, as well as pigeons all over the state. Wild or homeless, adult or baby, injured or unwanted, all pigeons are of our most importance. We provide rehabilitation, release, permanent refuge for non-releasable pigeons, and a constant advocacy for pigeons in Minnesota and everywhere.

 

Pigeons, also known as Rock Doves, are considered an invasive species here in Minnesota. Unfortunately, because of this, they are often left for dead when found injured or lost. The majority of animal shelters, wildlife centers and vet clinics have to turn pigeons away or euthanize them. Thankfully, the public's love for pigeons has grown immensely over the years and there are now many pigeon focused rescues all over the world and Minnesota's Pigeon Haven is so happy to be a part of this growing community.

 

We take much inspiration from the long gone, but never forgotten, Passenger Pigeons who inspire us every day to continue sharing the passion we have for these birds by educating our community about them, saving their lives, advocating for their welfare and being a place for pigeons here in the wonderful state of Minnesota!
